DIRECTIONS:
From Austin Airport to Hilton Austin (Approx 20 mins in no traffic)
- Exit the airport via Presidential Blvd, at the end of the road you will go under the overpass and take a LEFT onto Hwy 71 West
- Take Hwy 71 for 5 miles, then merge RIGHT onto I-35 North
- Take I-35 N 3.5 miles to exit 234B – Cesar Chavez St.
- Turn LEFT at Cesar Chavez St
- Turn RIGHT at the second cross-street onto Red River
- Turn LEFT at E 4th Street, and arrive at the Hilton Austin Hotel.
From Hilton Hotel/Downtown to Salt Lick BBQ (Approx 50 mins in no traffic)
- Head west out of the hotel onto 4th street towards Trinity
- Turn LEFT at San Jacinto Blvd
- Take the 3rd RIGHT onto 1st/Cesar Chavez
- Take Cesar Chavez for 1.7 miles to Mopac/Texas Loop 1
- Merge LEFT onto Mopac/Texas Loop 1 and take that for 13 miles
- Mopac will curve to the RIGHT, then dead-end at a stop sign which is FM1826.
- Take a LEFT onto FM 1826, and take that for 8 hilly, winding miles to Salt Lick Pavilion
- Note that you should drive PAST the main entrance to Salt Lick, about 100 yards further will be the Pavilion on your RIGHT.
From Austin Airport to Salt Lick BBQ (Approx 50 mins in no traffic) **MOPAC ROUTE
- Exit the airport via Presidential Blvd, at the end of the road you will go under the overpass and take a LEFT onto Hwy 71 West
- Take Hwy 71 for 9 miles, it will turn into Hwy 290 during that time
- Exit TX Loop 1/Brodie Ln/Southwest Pkwy onto the frontage/service road for 1 mile
- Take a slight LEFT at Mopac / Texas Loop 1, and merge onto Mopac Expressway for 8 miles
- Mopac will curve to the RIGHT, then dead-end at a stop sign which is FM1826.
- Take a LEFT onto FM 1826, and take that for 8 hilly, winding miles to Salt Lick Pavilion

- Exit the airport via Presidential Blvd, at the end of the road you will go under the overpass and take a LEFT onto Hwy 71 West
- Take Hwy 71 for 5 miles, then turn LEFT to I-35 South
- Take I-35 South 7.7 miles to Exit 221/Main Street
- After exiting, turn RIGHT onto N Loop 4, then go 1.5 miles on Loop 4
- Turn RIGHT on FM 967/Live Oak, and take that 12.2 miles
- Turn LEFT at FM 1826, and take that 1 mile to Salt Lick Pavilion
- Note that you should drive PAST the main entrance to Salt Lick, about 100 yards further will be the Pavilion on your RIGHT.
From Houston Inbound to Salt Lick BBQ (Approx 55 mins from airport in no traffic) **TOLLWAY ROUTE for those with toll tags
- Driving into Austin via Hwy 71, about 2 miles BEFORE the airport you will hit TX-130.
- Turn LEFT onto TX-130 for 9.6 miles
- That will turn into TX 45 Toll Road – take that for 7.3 additional miles
- Exit to the LEFT onto I-35 Hwy South
- Take I-35 South 1.5 miles to Exit 221/Main Street
- After exiting, turn RIGHT onto N Loop 4, then go 1.5 miles on Loop 4
- Turn RIGHT on FM 967/Live Oak, and take that 12.2 miles
